Madden 26: Collectors Promo & Golden Ticket Prep

Madden 26 Apr-28-2026 PST

What's New in the Collectors Promo

The Collectors Series includes two categories of players.

The nonlimited group features four 99overall cards: a kicker, a punter, a center, and a cornerback. You can build these through sets without relying on pack luck. It takes time and grinding, but no real money is required.

The limited group includes Fran Tarkenton (QB) and Jason Taylor (DE). Limiteds are pack-only, which makes them expensive and hard to acquire. For most players, ignoring limiteds is the smartest choice — unless you have the coins to spare. If you're determined to add them to your roster, you can buy Mut 26 coins to afford these high-end cards without relying solely on pack luck.

Why the Kicker and Punter Matter

The kicker and punter have a unique hidden benefit: they provide all 32 team chemistries, and the boost is believed to be times two. No matter which team you run, both players contribute to your chemistry totals. Abilities don't really matter for these positions, since kickers and punters rarely get ability slots. You add them mainly to help push your team to a 99 overall rating. If that is your goal, they are excellent additions. If you don't care about chasing a perfect overall, you can safely skip them.

How to Get Free 99s

Method one – weekly spotlight tokens.
The set that uses weekly spotlight tokens is very easy to complete. The challenges are simple, and the grind is minimal. EA wants you engaging with the game, so they made this path accessible. Unless you specifically want the kicker or punter to boost your overall, this method isn't highly recommended, but it is available.

Method two – build through the upgrade path.
This is the main method for most players. Go to Programs, select Collectors, then look for the section called hashtag the Collectors. The upgrade path follows a familiar ladder:

Build 91overall players

Combine 91s to make 94s

Combine 94s to make 96s

Combine 96s to make the final 99 Collector

This process takes time and a steady flow of cards from live events, but it does not require spending money.

Making Coins from the Promo

Whether this promo is profitable depends entirely on card prices. If you can build a 99 Collector for around 300k coins and sell it for 700k–800k, that is roughly 400k profit per card. That adds up quickly, especially since everyone is stockpiling coins for Golden Tickets.

However, new cards are most expensive in the first few hours or days after release. If you wait too long, the price will drop as more players build and sell their copies. Check the auction house regularly. If a 99 Collector is selling for 800k or more and you can build one for much less, go for it. If the profit margin is thin, skip it.

A smarter approach: build three 96s first instead of going straight to a 99. Three 96s sold separately may earn you more coins than one 99, depending on the market. For example, if each 96 sells for 300k, that is 900k total — potentially higher than a 99 after auction fees. Always check both tiers before committing.

Avoid building limiteds like Tarkenton or Taylor from scratch. They require pack luck, which means spending real money or millions of coins on packs with terrible odds. Stick to nonlimited Collectors.

Golden Ticket Preparation (Most Important)

Golden Tickets are coming. Nobody knows exactly when the set will be released, but there is a strong logical expectation. If you have been collecting ultimate tokens, you should have seven tokens by now. This was supposed to happen last year, but the player never arrived. The only thing that makes sense is for EA to give players something very expensive and very overpowered for all that time and effort.

If you have Collector tokens saved up, hold onto them. Do not waste them on small rewards. The Golden Ticket set could require those tokens, or it could require a large pile of coins. Either way, being prepared is the only smart move.

A word of caution: some players believe the Golden Ticket cards themselves might not be as good as expected. The servers have been terrible, and the game overall has felt lackluster. Even if the Golden Tickets are not amazing, the market reaction to them will still be huge. You can profit from other players' hype. When Golden Tickets are announced, prices for training points, elite cards, and highoverall players will spike. If you have stocked up on those items, you can sell into the hype for massive profits.

How to Prepare Your Coins

Sell cards while they have value.
Do not get attached to players. If a card is selling for good coins, sell it. You can always buy it back later for less. The example from the original guide: Fran Tarkenton (jokingly called Fran Fernando Mendoza) was sold for around 945k because he played worse than Andrew Luck, threw too many picks, and had weird throwing mechanics. That is the mindset you need. If a card is not performing or is overpriced, get rid of it immediately.

Grind the events for upgrade cards.
Turn 88s into 91s, throw the 91s into sets, build 94s, build 96s, and then build or sell from there. This is the grind — not glamorous, but it works. Set a daily goal, such as building two 94s or one 96 per day. Consistency beats bursts of intensity.

Do not spend real money.
Almost nobody wants to spend more money on this game. The servers are unreliable, and the gameplay has been disappointing. Stick to grinding and smart auction house flips. Every coin you earn from grinding is a coin you did not have to buy.

Stockpile training points if possible.
Golden Ticket players will require training to max out. Training points become more expensive during hype events. If you can buy cheap gold players now and quicksell them for training later, you will save coins in the long run.

What to Do Right Now

First, check how many ultimate tokens you have. If you have done all the ultimate sets, you should have seven tokens. Hold them for the Golden Ticket set. Do not use them on anything else.

Second, look at the price of the new 99 Collector cards. If the kicker, punter, center, or cornerback are selling for significantly more than it costs to build them, build and sell. Aim for a build cost around 300k versus a sale price of 700k–800k. If the gap is smaller than 300k, the profit may not be worth your time after auction house fees (typically 10%).

Third, evaluate your current quarterback. If you are using Fran Tarkenton and he is throwing picks or feeling awkward, sell him now while his price is still high. Go back to Andrew Luck or another quarterback you trust. Do not let pride or attachment cost you coins.

Fourth, do not stress about overall rating. The creator of the original guide is a 96 overall with many players out of position and does not care. What matters is having coins when the Golden Ticket set drops. A 99 overall team with no coins is useless. A 92 overall team with 10 million coins is ready for anything.

Fifth, play the live events every day. They are easy. They give you the 88s, 91s, and other cards you need to feed into the upgrade sets. Even if the game feels frustrating, even if the servers freeze, the events are the only reliable way to get free cards. Do your dailies and move on.

Sixth, start tracking prices. Note what 91s, 94s, 96s, and 99s are selling for at different times of day. Prices are often lower in the morning and higher in the evening when more players are online. Buy low, build, sell high.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Building limiteds from scratch. You will lose coins. Do not do it.

Holding cards too long. If a card is dropping in price, sell immediately. Waiting for a rebound rarely works.

Ignoring auction house fees. Selling for 800k might only give you 720k after fees. Factor that into your math.

Spending real money. The return on investment is terrible.

Forgetting to have fun. The servers are bad, but if you are not enjoying yourself, take a break. Coins will still be there tomorrow.

Build coins now. Sell anything not bolted down. Don't get attached to cards. Stay ready for Golden Tickets. If you need a quick boost to your stack, you can find Mut 26 coins for sale at MMOEXP, a trusted site that lets you load up on currency so you're fully prepared when the Golden Ticket market heats up.
